Smanjivanje govori nam o tome šta bi se desilo da, postoji formula koja smanjuje ljude na visinu od desetak centimetara. Tako smanjeni, ljudi shvataju koliko iznose troškovi života u novom okruženju. Uz obećanje da će imati bolji život, jedan sasvim običan čovek, Pol sa suprugom Odri donosi odluku da napusti svoj stresni život u Omahi, da se smanji i preseli u novu, malu zajednicu. Taj izbor pokrenuće lavinu novih izazova i životnih avantura.
